Surface Water Project Forum

To find out the facts about plans and costs for replacing local groundwater with Sacramento River water, the Yolo County Taxpayers Association is holding a Surface Water Project Forum on Wednesday, October 26, at 7 p.m. in the Woodland Community and Senior Center.  The Forum will include an overview of the surface water project, which is being managed by the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency, a joint powers authority of the Cities of Woodland and Davis. The Forum will also feature a panel comprised of Woodland Public Works Director Greg Meyer, Woodland City Councilman Bill Marble, Woodland Principal Engineer Doug Baxter, and Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency engineer Jim Yost to answer questions about the project, its costs, and plans to finance it primarily through water rates.  The event is free and members of the public are invited to come, listen, learn, ask questions and voice their concerns.
